Teresa McBride

Assistant Women’s Coach & Kids’ Program Instructor – Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

Teresa McBride is a dedicated and passionate member of the Zenith MMA coaching team. Holding a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, she brings both technical proficiency and a nurturing approach to her instruction. Teresa plays a pivotal role in our women’s BJJ program and is instrumental to our kids’ classes, where her patience and enthusiasm create a positive learning environment for students of all ages.

Teaching Philosophy

Teresa believes in empowering her students through consistent support and tailored instruction. Her classes emphasize not only the development of martial arts skills but also the cultivation of confidence, discipline, and respect. Teresa’s approachable demeanor and commitment to her students’ growth make her a favorite among both newcomers and seasoned practitioners.

Competition Experience

Teresa is equally driven by her love of competition as she is by coaching. She brings the same commitment and energy to the tournament mats as she does to her classes. Her preparation, mindset, and technical execution have earned her recognition in several events—including a 52-second submission win at Grappling Industries Columbus (Arnold Classic), where she competed in the No-Gi Adult Female division.

She uses her competition experiences to sharpen her teaching and to inspire others to test themselves when they’re ready.
